Accusations of abuse against Prince Andrew, the Queen withdraws royal honors
LONDON: Britain’s Queen Elizabeth has withdrawn royal honors from her son Prince Andrew over allegations of sexual misconduct, and Andrew will now face trial in a US court as a civilian.
According to the report, Prince Andrew has been accused by a woman named Virginia Roberts that he was raped by Andrew in 2001 while she was still in her early teens.
The court rejected Andrew’s request to dismiss the case, and he will now have to face trial without the help of the royal family.
Withdrawal of official honors will not use the title of Prince Andrew, and will avoid all royal responsibilities.
