Mumbai: The screening of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s new film “Surya Vanshi” has been stopped by farmers in Indian Punjab.

According to media reports, the screening of Bollywood film “Surya Vanshi” in Indian Punjab has been stopped due to actor Akshay Kumar’s refusal to support the farmers’ protest against the new rules for farmers made by the federal government. Protesters pressured cinema owners not to release the film in the area.

Farmers’ union workers, including the organisation’s district president Swaran Dhoga, also marched on the streets to the cinemas, condemning the screening of the film. Protesters threatened to block the film until the new rules were repealed.
