New York: Pakistan’s female environmental activist Ayesha Siddiqa has been named ‘Woman of the Year’ by Time magazine for 2023.

According to Time magazine, Ayesha Siddiqa has expressed her feelings in the form of poetry to protest against the devastating effects of floods and other environmental changes.

Ayesha Siddiqa says that art makes life livable and I think it prepares a person for struggle.

She further said that

My job is to defend life and thus protect the rights of women which are also human rights.

Ayesha Siddiqa further said that

I was brought up with the idea that our earth is a living being, it gives you life and in return, you also have some responsibilities.
