ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the survival of the country lies in strengthening moral values. The Sira of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the best source of guidance for the betterment of moral values.
The Prime Minister chaired a meeting to review the progress on Rehmat-ul-Ulameen Authority. The meeting was briefed on the progress on Rehmat-ul-Ulameen Authority.
During the briefing, it was informed that the ordinance of the authority has been issued. The six-member board will be chaired by Imran Khan himself. The board members will include local and international level researchers.
The Prime Minister directed that merit should be taken into consideration in the appointment of members, research should also be done on the Islamic family system and its positive effects on the society, the survival of the country lies in strengthening moral values. The Sira of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the best source of guidance for the betterment of moral values.
He said that Rehmat-ul-Ulameen Authority is of key importance for the betterment of ethics at the national level, dramas, cartoons and films will be made which will educate the younger generation about culture and history. Extensive work is being done, the aim of the Authority is to bring together local and international efforts, the Authority will also be instrumental in overcoming sectarian divisions.
