Soldiers of Turkish drama ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ die

ANKARA: The actor who played his soldier Artak Bay in the famous Turkish drama ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ has died.

Mehrt Bozdagh, director and producer of Ertugrul Ghazi, shared the news of the death of Ibrak Pekchen on social media sites and wrote that our dear Ibrak Pekchen, who added soul to his performance in Ertugrul, passed away. Pray for mercy and patience for family and fans.

According to Turkish media, the actor died of lung cancer, which he confirmed on his social media account in October 2021.

As his condition worsened last week, he was admitted to the ICU of a hospital in his hometown of Mersin, where he died on January 24.

It may be recalled that Ibrak Pekchen came to Pakistan in January 2021 with actor Nooruddin Sonmir, who played the role of Bamsi in Ertugrul, and also attended the Pak-Turkish Ma’arif Foundation event.

Ibrak Pechen was born on May 22, 1970 and has been working as an actor since 2001. He has acted in a number of films and dramas.
