Lahore: Former Mr. Asia Yahya Butt, who made Pakistan famous in bodybuilding, passed away due to a long illness.
The former Mr Asia bodybuilder had been in a private hospital for a long time, had bowel cancer and could not recover from the operation.
Yahya Butt has won 3 times Asian Champion and 5 times Mr. Olympia and Mr. Pakistan.
Regarding the demise of former international bodybuilder Yahya Butt, President Punjab Bodybuilding Association Naeem Akhtar said that the deceased had been suffering from cancer since last year.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar expressed sorrow over the demise of renowned bodybuilder Yahya Butt, who won the title of Mr. Asia, and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
He said,
May Allah bless the soul of the deceased and grant patience to the bereaved, Amen!
Provincial Sports Minister Rai Timur Bhatti also expressed sorrow over the death of Yahya Butt and said that
