LAHORE: Maulana Waheed-ud-Din Khan, a renowned Islamic scholar, author, and translator of the Holy Quran, has passed away and was buried in Nizamuddin Cemetery in Delhi.
Maulana Waheed-ud-din was born in 1925 in the Badhriya Azamgarh area of India.
He was admitted to a private hospital in Delhi 10 days ago due to corona where he breathed his last yesterday.
He was awarded the third-highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan, by the Government of India for his outstanding religious and spiritual services.

On the demise of Maulana Wahiduddin, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar expressed deep sorrow and grief to his family.
According to Indian media, Prime Minister Modi also lamented his death, saying that
“Maulana’s intellectual insight and spirituality will be remembered, he had an extreme perfection in religion and spirituality.”
