The Royal King USA XI team won the excellent Kabaddi competition in Vehari.

Vehari: On the last day of the annual Urs of Hazrat Ali Muhammad aka Sai Rab Rakha Sarkar, a well known spiritual elder of Pak-Wahdat sub-continent, a spectacular Kabaddi match was played at Mor Rab Rakha area on the outskirts of Vehari in which famous players of the country showed the essence of their game.

Urs and fairs are an important part of the culture of Punjab. King USA XI won by 40 points to 30. Both the teams included several players of the national kabaddi team.

Chairman Local Councils Punjab Zahid Iqbal Chaudhry, Pakistani-born German businessman Chaudhry Timur Aslam and Member District Council Malik Muhammad Riaz Maswan were special guests on the occasion.

Zahid Iqbal Chaudhry said that Kabaddi is an important sport of Punjab culture in which each player shows his strength individually while the players said that due to inattention of the government the game of Kabaddi is becoming extinct in Punjab.

The government should take all possible steps to promote this sport. Fans watching the kabaddi match said that they are grateful to the Urs administration for providing entertainment to the people of the area after the end of Corona epidemic.

The purpose of these festivals is to highlight the culture of Punjab and provide affordable and quality entertainment.
