Khartoum: Attempts to overthrow the government in Sudan have failed, with government forces taking timely action and arresting the conspirators.
Sudanese Information Minister Hamza Biloul said pro-former military and civilian officials had tried to overthrow President Omar al-Bashir, but Sudanese forces had foiled the coup attempt.
He said
The government had arrested the masterminds of the coup, including civil and military officials.
