Dubai: An Indian man has been arrested for stealing the watch of Argentine star footballer Diego Meradona and fleeing.
According to Indian authorities, the suspect who stole the watch from Dubai has been arrested in the northeastern state of Assam and Maradona’s custom-made Swiss Hublot watch has also been recovered.
Police say action was taken against the accused after receiving intelligence from Dubai police and the watch was also recovered.
On the back of the watch is a picture of Maradona and his signature with the number 10 on his jersey.
