Washington: US President Joe Biden contacted his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to discuss the Taiwan issue.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, the US president said he had raised the issue of Taiwan in a telephone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping, while Beijing and Washington had agreed to abide by the Taiwan agreement.
It should be noted that Taiwan had accused China of violating its airspace 56 times in a single day.
