PRAGUE: Pakistani sister-in-law and Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has clinched the doubles title at the Ostrava Open tennis tournament.
Sania Mirza, wife of Indian tennis star and Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik, won the women’s doubles title at the WTA Ostrava Open tennis tournament along with her Chinese partner Shuai Zheng.
The Ostrava Open tennis tournament, organized by the World Tennis Association (WTA), saw exciting competitions, with India’s Sania Mirza and China’s Shuai Zheng making it to the women’s doubles final.
The duo won their first WTA title of the year, beating New Zealand’s Erin Rutilff and Caitlin Christian of the United States 3-6, 2-6 in straight sets, respectively. The final match lasted one hour and four minutes.
