Lahore: Due to the atrocities against the Palestinians, the government of South Africa has separated itself from the ‘Miss Universe’ program in Israel.
According to foreign media reports, the South African government has said that the decision to participate in the Miss Universe pageant in Israel has nothing to do with the decision of the organization organizing the Miss South Africa pageant.
It should be noted that the annual Miss Universe pageant is to be held on December 12 in Eilat, Israel, while in South Africa there was a strong demand that Miss South Africa Lalila M. Savane should boycott the pageant due to her presence in Israel. After which the government announced its decision.
Regarding the pageant, the organizers of the local beauty pageant in South Africa said that Miss South Africa should go to Israel to take part in the international beauty pageant because the Miss Universe pageant is not an event in which Any act of politics is involved.
The South African government has said that Israel’s atrocities against the Palestinians are well documented and that the government, as the legitimate representative of the South African people, does not associate itself with such a program on the basis of its conscience.
