Gilgit: The first Baltistan Ice Hockey Championship came to a glorious end and the final match was won by the Siachen Glacier team.
The first ice hockey championship match between the teams of Siachen Glacier and Chhogo Longma was played on the icy field of District Park Helma Ranga, which was won by Siachen team by one point and clinched the title.
At the end of the match, along with the distribution of prizes, the ancient regional festival of Mayfung was performed, where the torchbearers danced to the tune of regional music and chanted slogans welcoming the arrival of spring.
