LAHORE: Chaudhry Shafi Hussain has been re-elected unopposed as the President of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation for four years.
Acting Governor Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi chaired a meeting of the General Council of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation at Governor House in which elections were held for the next four years and Chaudhry Shafi Hussain was re-elected President of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation for four years.
The elections were held under the supervision of Dr. Abbas, Vice President, International Kabaddi Federation.
On this occasion, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that Chief Minister Punjab should give honorary check to the team of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation as soon as possible as promised. Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has played an important role in the promotion of Kabaddi in Pakistan.
Acting Governor Punjab said that Chaudhry Shafi Hussain hosted the Kabaddi World Cup in Pakistan in history, Pakistan won the World Cup 2020 for the first time in the history of Kabaddi.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that
The game of Kabaddi is the identity of Pakistan, it is also a favorite sport of the nervous youth of Punjab.
The Pakistan Kabaddi Federation was founded by Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi Shaheed in 1964. The role of Chaudhry Shafi Hussain in the success of Kabaddi Federation is commendable.
The Acting Governor Punjab said that
He would not allow the traditional sports of Punjab to come to an end and would do everything possible to give them a new lease of life. Holding the Games raised Pakistan’s prestige in the world.
President Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Chaudhry Shafi Hussain said that Alhamdulillah Corona has been brought under control and inshallah the next Kabaddi matches will be held in Pakistan. A Kabaddi tournament will also be organized in Gwadar in which Chinese Kabaddi team will also be invited.
