A first-grader in the US shot his school teacher after being bullied in the classroom.
According to American media reports, a 6-year-old child in the first grade opened fire in the children’s elementary school called Chanak Elementary School in the city of Newport News, Virginia.
As a result of the shooting, a 30-year-old female teacher named Abby Zwerner was seriously injured.
Police Chief Steve Drew in Newport News told the media that the child had a handgun at the time and that it was not an accidental shooting, and investigators are trying to determine how it ended up in the child’s hands.
Virginia is one of the states in the United States where a 6-year-old child cannot be prosecuted, but the American court will decide to take the child from the parents and take it into official custody based on the circumstances.
