Lahore: Former Pakistan cricket team captain and legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram’s Australian wife Shanira Akram, why was it becoming difficult to stay in Pakistan? He has explained the reason himself.
Shanira Akram, the wife of the former Australian captain, is often in the news for her statements, love of Pakistan and social work, but once again her message has caught the attention of social media users.
Sending a message on social networking site Twitter, Shanira Akram revealed that the hardest time for her to stay in Pakistan was when she could not help everyone.
For me, the hardest part about living in Pakistan was that I couldn't help everyone. What ever I did was just never enough & no matter how many people we helped in one day, I was just never satisfied. The pain of not being about to help everyone kept me awake most nights.— Shaniera Akram (@iamShaniera) November 18, 2021
Describing his difficult times in Pakistan, she wrote on Twitter that the pain of not helping every deserving person often kept me awake at night. It did not matter how many people we lost in one day. Helped because I was never satisfied.
Then I started to work with the @NichPakistan . With just one small donation, you get to know that you have given a deserving child the life saving treatment they need to get well. And to know you can ease a child's suffering so easily is an incredible feeling!— Shaniera Akram (@iamShaniera) November 18, 2021
In another tweet, the former captain’s wife continued: “Then I started working with the National Institute of Children’s Health, when you found out that with just a small donation you saved a child’s life.” Or how incredible it is to be able to ease a child’s pain so easily.
It may be recalled that former Pakistan cricket team fast bowler Wasim Akram and his wife Shanira Akram have been expressing their anger over the pile of garbage on the beach in Karachi.
